Hi Gabby,

We just got this notification last week that there were changes. We now have to give at least 5 days notice prior to vacation (which really isn't different) and provide the zip code to which we are traveling (if traveling within the US) Your travel will then be reviewed and approved. You must continue to check in to see if you are selected for testing while away, and if you are, you must go and test where you are. If you are out of the country, you are not required to check in or test but you still have to notify them and get approval prior to leaving. Sounds to me like they are making it more in line with what the other states are doing.

As far as what you are being tested for, right now, the nurses in my support group don't have a clue. When you checkin on line, or on the phone, you are given a testing code that you mark on your chain of custody form. None of us seem to be able to find out what it is and the cost is not the same as what we were paying before. The labs don't know what it is either.
