Mary you will find a job. I literally took anything and worked my way up. I was honest and you would not believe how many people that are in a hiring position have family members that are struggling and they understand addiction. I found that by being honest and sincere I was able to work. I am so glad that I gave you hope. So many nurses in the program told me "I could never do this a 2nd time" and I told them I hoped they didn't have to but I wanted them to remember me and that it could be done. Relapse happened to be a part of my recovery process. I don't wish that on anyone but it can be done even TWICE! I even have a friend fighting her way back and she knows that I did it, she was one of the people that said she could never do it twice. So my takeaway is: Try to do it right the 1st time but if you don't, you can still get it back. My consequences were more severe the 2nd time but still doable. I don't recommend it but you first-timers do your best to not be in my position with a total of 7 years on programs with monitoring. As I said, I am one year away from the 2nd time and with 2 states. I still maintain: It was worth it all! :)
