The Pressing...

Will you burn a small candle for me
In the love of my death so I can see
All the complications placed before my longanimity
Now look in its eyes tell me is it free
I waited and paced up and down for awhile
Looked into your being with a broken smile
Watched the decay form in the eyes of a child
Carried your broken soul for a mile
I held onto what I felt
Played the dirty cards I was delt
Wrapped my brain until it melt
Had the same putrid smell
I wrapped my arms around you and held on tight
I broke my boundaries and continued to(my) fight (flight)
Held your hand to make sure everything was alright
Then I closed your eyes and watched you die..
