Shadows of Desire Live


Shy as she was in her own right
Holding onto the dreams at night
Alone in her dark room of strife;
Desires of passion a way of life
Over her shyness of past hurts
Was her dreams at night the worst
Shadows that lingered in sight.

Overcoming that of her desires,
Falling again to become the crier.

Doing that which lay before her
Erasing thoughts as they occur,
Setting aside the passions of dreams
Inside a locked chest it would seem
Repined unto her lingering desires
Eating away at her resolve to retire.

Long into the days before tears burst
Into her heart as did passions first,
Vying to restore the commotion of desire's
Emotions that dreams have again sired.
