I tarried not within labor's day
For the want of honest labor's pay
Then I move on, on my way
'Cause I'm the traveler not to stay
For always my heart is gay
And roads did my feet play
For the next town's labor's pay
With new sights, which are at bay
Always around the corner next day
Within the sun' gay rays
With my heart always at play
After another honest labor's pay,
Then I move on my merry way
With nothing left behind to stay.
