Metal smashed in twisted artform
in Europe's elite society.
Upper crusted fair,
that feed 70's toasted
leftovers to their pedigree.

LSD turns out Morrison
punks that line up as
they pay homage to a dead
man walking.

No Segregation, integration
shout those Blank Panther voices.

James Dean and Norma Jean
flash their smile
and sultry voices to Mr. President.
We tire of these icons
continually spoon fed to us of their
trashy past.

Mama's and Papa's still
sing on FM and no one
remembers they are dead.

Vietnam sounds
are way over our youth's heads.
Johnson refuses to hear
those soldier cries,
and cards burned
in homage, his cross
to bear late at night.

Nixon's croonies were crooks
with noses like Pinnochio
who told us a pack of lies.
Nation was innocent,
as they hummed their
meditation to Deli Lama.

Messed up earth shoes
and too crazed
on green meth.
Ghost drugs that danced on their
walls to hear their sounds.
Janis Joplin worshippers
gathered in beatnik hippie
beads to drink til dawn.

Don't force us to eat cotton
tie-dyed waste to chase it down
with that 70's past.
