WHAT HATH LOVE WROUGHT?

What hath love wrought but tear drops?
No man shalt walk in Eden’s garden
Lest he plant forgiveness in anger’s soil.

What hath love wrought but despair?
No man shalt feel the breath of hope
Lest he fly with wings of empathy.

What hath love wrought but fear?
No man shalt see the face of God
Lest he plant the seeds of faith in his soul.

What hath love wrought but grief?
No man shalt own the pearl of happiness
Lest he build dreams upon imagination’s foundation.

What hath love wrought but loneliness?
No man shalt swim in friendship’s ocean
Lest he listen to generosities song.

What hath love wrought but confusion?
No man shalt wear the cloak of insight
Lest he dance to the beat of his own soul.

What hath love wrought but deceit?
No man shalt drink from truth’s fountain
Lest he grow trust from loyalties vine.
