Subject: Done, Finis, The End

I'm so excited. REMEMBRANCE is done. I actually typed - Finis and the adrenaline pumped. I squealed as I typed the last few words, smiled and did the happy dance of joy. I have been so busy the last few weeks with family stuff that I haven't been able to finish the last chapter (which turned into 2 chapters) but now... IT'S DONE.

Yeah yeah, it's only the rough draft - I know the tough part is coming up but I am so excited and had to share.

Now I can take a little break, catch up on here and other things I wanted to do and then... EDITS & REWRITES.

But for now...squeee I'm so excited! :-)

No feeling like it on earth! I was very excited when I realized Old Dogs (yes, the very story I'm complaining about in the previous post) was done. The hard part is coming, but it's your baby and it's great and I wish for you a painless-as-possible polishing and editing process. OD is my first story to get to this stage so I don't if that's why I'm having so much difficulty with it or if I'm just special ;-)

Steph's (Page2) post about her wonderful accomplishment in finishing the first draft of her book got me thinking. In the past year or so, several of us Lit Forum babes have completed manuscripts, some to the final, polished draft! So kudos to:

susiej (final draft of Beneath the Trees)

dea (final draft of Heights of Abraham)

Page (rough draft of Carey On)

(My abject apologies if I've left anyone out! Just let me know and I'll edit tout de suite!)

Congratulations to all of us. And I must add that you are ALL one of the main reasons I finished mine, and one of the main reasons I continue to edit and polish it.
