Everyone believes in something, whether they believe in anything or not. You may tell someone that you do not believe in any kind of god, and this may be so, but you still believe in something. How can you live life with out really believing in anything? There can not be any such thing. Do you believe that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west? The conflict is that people get in a furry when people of religion try to tell them that there is a religion to believe and practice in. I chose this topic to ensue the complexities that are placed on having religion in people's lives, and the extremities that many people go through in order to maintain their own belief system without allowing conflicting parties destroying their own ways of living their life.
Those people who are known to the world as atheists are considered people who do not believe in anything. They will do all that they can in their power to reason with those who will go up against their supposed non-beliefs. I have heard once that philosophy is questions that may never be answered, and religion is answers that may never be questioned. This was said by an atheist (In a forum I ventured into one day while researching my topic). People of philosophy are always questioning every possible thing they can lay their thoughts on. It would seem to me, that every molecule must be examined. Life is normally thought of as one great mysterious adventure that goes on even after death itself. Life has a beginning and an end, but then always manages to begin again. A flower always grows after the weed. What is death anyways? The philosophical question haunts human kind. My opinion of death has always been, a body may leave and crumble to the earth, but their soul still exists.
A bible was and still is a source for many people today, to use as a guide on how to live life to the fullest potential. People have always thought that faith would bring them closer to the heavens. Shouldn’t those people with faithful values abide by what they are supposed to believe in if they commit themselves to one kind of religion and practice? It has been said by many people that if you can practice the faith or religion that you believe in, that you are truly faithful. According to the core principles of Christianity, a person must be faithful to their own self, before they commit themselves to God or any kind of higher power. I have made the commitment of being one with one religion, however, it will not keep me from looking and understanding other religions. I am part of another religion because it is a part of my heritage and background. I do not believe in things just because other people tell me that I should believe in them. I know that I am a very gullible person, but when it comes to believing in things of the spiritual world, I know where I stand.
There is a lot of peer pressure, and pressure from all the churches, because they want all the people to come to their churches to worship with them. It is my belief that if anyone wants to, then they should be allowed the humane right to believe however they want and what they wish to believe in. It makes me really annoyed when people think that they can get away with telling other people what they need to believe in.
