OK, it wasnt that bad, but it is just not within my personality to be one, so it was difficult for me. Needless to say, aside from the fact I cannot believe for one split second that a flaming lib such as you is not licensed by the godsend state (and a libertarian like me was...), here is my 2 cents. About the limit thing: 2 days per week, I was over my limit by an after school only 8 yr old for 20 minutes. For whatever reason, one of the parents of a toddler was frustrated with her life, decided to vent about me (never vented to me, mind you) and started telling her sister who did not know me and lived in another county that I had "too many kids". So that sister called the authorities, told them what day and at what time to investigate me, and they did. While they were investigating me, another parent came to get her child - I had overlapped 15 minutes that day. I had to reduce my childcare service by one child, thankfully the authority understood the deal and saw that I was just doing what was best, etc. Wanna guess which child left my care?

Anyway, I would never ask parents anything when it comes to the business part of the business, quite frankly. I would inform. Then, if the parent has a problem, it is up to him or her to remove their child to address their concerns. Either their concerns are too much to warrant keeping the child there or it isnt. But yes, it is your business, and if I were you, Id run it how ever it works for you.
