Subject: Play-Doh molds -- the end of civilization as we know it?

Does anyone else hate the Play-Doh molds? Am I being a Luddite for saying that I think the Clifford- and Arthur-themed Play-Doh kits stifle creativity? What happened to kids just making their own figures with the stuff? My DS doesn't want to use Play-Doh for its God-given purpose now, because he gets frustrated when his own creations aren't as perfect as the ones made by the molds. Does anyone see a purpose for these horrible things other than destroying creativity in children?
