In this area there is alot of racism against white people. We are the minority.The only way to join the tribe is to mary into it and even that is frowned upon by the tribe. Orto have a native american child. But the child would be the only to recieve services from the tribe. In order to be issued a tribal card you have to prove that you are at least 1/4 native american. My stepfather is native american on his mother's side but she was abbandonded and adopted by a white family and there is no paper work on her mother so he can't prove it and therefore is denied tribal status. Silly HUH?
