I am not sure if I remember this correctly, but weren't the worms that had Leto's pearl of wisdom in them referred to by Sheeana and others as Shaitan instead of Shai Hulud?

There is definitely a distinction there as Shai Hulud means the Old Man of the Desert. Shaitan translates into Satan.

It's interesting that priests would object to riding Shaitan because it was an abuse of God when they called the worm Satan at that point.
