You cleared up some of my questions. So the "million worlds" are all in the Milky Way. I'm not sure where to begin any type of formula, other than that's the colonization of a planet around every 3.5 days for 10,000 years. I'm with you, if what you say is true. If they are capable of faster than light travel and that rate of colonization, spice is more of a convenience than necessity, right? Not that convenience isn't a powerful force. It's like asking everyone to give up the internet and email for letters transmitted by the Pony Express. Sure life would go on, but not many people would like that change, I guess. Hmm.
