Subject: So what's after Dune 7

Well I for one think ChairDog is right. We are pretty lucky right now that we have access to a continuing universe as opposed to one that is already finished. But the sad truth is that one day it may end. As of right now, isn't Dune 7 the final book to appear?
Considering the enormity of what the prequels seem to be leading up to, I find it hard to believe that it will all be contained in one book. I mean, Heretics, and Chapterhouse, seem to be the first two parts that lead into the final battle where all hell will break loose. And the actual hell breaking loose will only be one book? hmm.
I have to say that I really miss the characters of Paul, Leto II, and the supporting roles of Jessica, Gurney, and the evil Baron. I really hope that Dune 7 will tie in with the legacy of these original characters as well as Duncan Idaho, Miles Teg, etc.

I really think that the Dune Universe would make for a fascinating RPG game, and I am not just talking like playing out one of the books or battle sims but like an RPG where you can create a character like a Bene Gesserit, or Mentat, or Swordmaster, or whatever and play an interactive story.
MAybe more video games will be made and Dune will live on?
