I said that Paul said he was the KH and More.
but THAT is an old discussed topic here on this board, we went through this already with the quotes from the book that clearly state that paul, mohiam, jessica, irulan, and the future all refer to Paul as the Kwisatz Haderach.
This I believe can not be disputed in any way shape or form. he IS the Kwisatz Haderach.
BUT the question then becomes... is He EXACTLY what the sisters expected?
Well we know he isn't, he as much said so. Not only was he a generation early, but he was not under their control, and had more power then they imagined.
Other Memory is an ASSUMED ability, they THINK the KH will have it. But the BG did not know for sure since they never had one !
Therefore discussion now become DOES he have it. Nothing I have seen presented shows this. But I do have an inkling of how proof can be found *grin*
The answer lies in the Harkonnen's. BTW the proof of Mohiam as grandmother lies in the same place.
HOW did Paul find out The baron was his grandfather?
well first lets ask, HOW did Alia know?
Alia knew from other memory right?
-- But not the Baron memory, he would not of known what happened with his offspring.
-- Not Jessica cause daughters aren't told who their fathers are, she may have known her mothers name though.
-- But the Grandmother residing in Alia knows, she slept with the man.
The woman Alia accuses of having her part in the whole thing near the end of Dune... Mohiam ! the same time she greets her Grandfather, and as such to boot.
Not conclusive proof, but close enough for me.
But that brings me back to Paul, did he find out from Alia about the Baron, or would he too have gained this from the Other Memory we are trying to prove he did or did not have?
This is what we should look to the end of Dune for, or for some passage that comes after he takes the water of life, the clues are there if anywhere.
Possibly even in Dune Messiah when he has more visions, and it becomes clearer what he is.
