Yeah, it sort of seems like he (Dr.McNelly) stuck with the details of the Dune universe for the most part, but not completely. i.e., under the "Atreides,Paul" reference, when he discusses Muad'Dib, he makes it sound like Muad'Dib was a born Fremen, not an off-worlder (is that even a word?). I've found other details as well, that don't correlate with Frank Herbert's books.
But I still like reading it! It must have taken years to write it, considering the amount of detail the guy went into.
