Subject: Dune and House Corrino inconsistancies

One major plot thread in House Corrino is that Paul is born on Kaitain. Yet the opener for the very first chapter of Dune states, "Do not be deceived by the fact that [Paul] was born on Caladan and lived his first fifteen years there."

Has this inconsistancy been explained?

It's been a while since I read House Corrino so if the answer is in there please just direct me to the relevant page.
