To throw in my two cents, I believe we will definitely find out what became of Sheeana, Idaho, et.al., although we may not get to actually go along for the ride. Probably Dune 7 will be within 50 years of Chapterhouse.
I say this because of something Brian Herbert said when I saw him speak at a book signing. He stated that the way the Dune series was set up, it was as two trilogies, with God Emperor being the "bridge" between the two. So even though Dune 7 may very well be far enough into the future that we are dealing with the progeny of the characters in Chapterhouse, I think it will still be VERY closely tied to Heretics and Chapterhouse.

So, does anyone have a clue what the next "step" is in the Muad'Dib-Tyrant-HM-BG-Sheeana-?? Or even a clue as to what the pattern is? I've been trying, and I'm really at a loss. But I'll keep trying...
The thing that gets me is that it could very well be obvious. You can actually detect the plan or at least the clues for the HM-BG union in Chapterhouse, if you pay attention. So is Frank playing us? I hope so!!!!
