touche'. i was thinking about the extent of frank's notes, and i agree that most of the names and places probably came directly from them. but then again neither of us really has any proof of whether this is the case. you're probably right, but i just don't like putting that much faith in somebody who's making money off of somebody else's creative works.

as to who has a better picture of FH's mind, again, you're right, it's got to be brian over mcnelly. but when push comes to shove, the encylopedia is JUST BETTER WRITTEN than the prequels. i think that's why i like it so much. if we are going to stick to only what came out of FH's head, then we stop at chapterhouse. but that's not what attracted me to the Dune series. what attracted me to it was the creativity of the universe and the superior writing, something that the encylopedia delivers on both counts. more later, gotta go.
