If they did try to adapt it, they'd end up making stuff up, expanding on details most people missed or weren't important, and they'd practically rewrite the whole book. It wouldn't be worth it. It would end up being something that wouldn't be a hit, I mean, really, what person who hasn't read the books wants to listen to a worm with a human's face talking to himself for 4 hours?

Even though it would be great to see some of the actors again, God Emperor of Dune really opens up the way for the rest of the books. It was a good thing to end on Children of Dune, it really does close the series pretty well.
