Thank you, Christophe, for sharing such a generous spirit. You have a soul filled with compassion, a heart of gold, and a much-needed ethic of meaningful action.

It is so heartbreaking to see the outer world around fellow human beings so utterly shattered. There but for the grace of God we go. But the inner world, of spirit and perseverance, just as powerfully will rise to this challenge, many good souls in communion. From devastation will rise inspiration, perspiration, and hopefully rapid revitalization.

It may sound corny, but the depth of goodness in our country and in the countless people whose toil makes it tick are scarcely revealed in the workaday quest to keep our heads above water (no pun intended). We see it most boldly in the face of crushing adversity.

Not from the government or 'officials' or politicians, but from people like you who could just as easily shake their heads and leave the task to others, but instead move themselves and others to action. It renews my faith in our essential good nature and my belief that we are blessed to have each other.

I can only hope that those in the rest of the world who harbor ill will for us, those who seek to bring to us all what mother nature has inflicted on some, will reconsider their wicked desires. If not from compasssion then from realizing the futility of their malignant fantasies.
