Hey Doc! Chuck/Sharky here! And I agree with you - I have at least as much fun dancing these days to DSO than I did at a lot of Dead shows. (Recovery time is a little longer, though!)

Another favorite of mine was the 37 beat BIODTL at the 2-7-04 Jannus Landing show, where the band played another of those incredible early '70s shows, with the approximately 14 songs first sets! That era was when I started seeing shows, and any show from the 70s is to be teasured...

And I am so glad that DSO treats the music with reverance and has fun with it, too. You can tell the joy and respect felt on stage, as it is reflected in the audience's energy and love. The scene nowadays is a gift from God...and I am truly grateful we are here to embrace it.
