Starting with '99 I was trying to make a habit of catching every NYE DSO style. Lately the tradition seems impossible, because I simply can't get out to NY with my job and all :(
Chicago loves you guys. The NYE show of 2000 (at the Vic I believe?) really did change my life forever. God what a magical show! I lost my head that night and still haven't found it. Bring NYE back to Chicago!!! Oh how my heart mourns... what will I do with myself? go to some lame party where everyone is obnoxious and drunk? surrounded by possible Bush-voters?! Dare I act congenial and respectful with these morons!? NO!!!
