The element of surprise is always beneficial to the live experience, however when I heard that DSO solicits suggestions for show dates, I figured that I'd suggest a gem this time around. I am not sure if this interferes with the Grateful Dead live release policies, however I believe that March 24, 1990 would be a most excellent suggestion. As parts of this 3 night run at the Knickerbocker Arena (a stone's throw across the river from Troy) later became the Dozin' at the Knick release, March 24, 1990 easily became a favorite from this run. This show on Friday night in Troy would be a great way to pay tribute to a HOT three nights in Albany some almost 15 years ago...
