The RFL looks set to move to a night Grand Final after influential VVS Laxatives club president, The Nawab of Carnegie, has had secret talks with RFL administrators. "I wouldn't say they were talks" club spokesman Vijay Tiger Balme said "more like threats. Men in cars with tinted windows following people, brake cables cut, that sort of thing." The Nawab has made no secret of his wish to have the RFL Grand Final played at night, preferably in India where top of the table VVS Laxatives reside. "We look set to win the flag and I'd like it to happen in front of our home crowd. I also have a few horses racing that weekend and would hate to have to travel."

Coach Floodney Spew played down the Laxatives favouritism "It's early days, round 6 is round 6, not the end of season. The crap that gets trotted out against us each week might improve, and we have to be mindful of that. It is quite funny when you line up against someone like Brad Ottens, our biggest danger is throwing up because we laugh so much when we see opposition team selections. Who are we playing this week?"
