Laxatives coach Floodney Spew today joined his Captain Barry Hall in urging the RFL not to outlaw the squirrel grip. The RFL has been rocked in recent weeks with mysterious testicular injuries to players - with media and past players calling for a ban on such actions. Coach Spew, a reknowned gripper in his playing days, laments the loss of the games traditions. "What has the game come to when you can't grab a guys nads? We all use to do it, it's just part of the game, it's what makes the game great" he said. Earlier in the week acting Captain Barry Hall put weight behind the issue "I can't think of a game where someone hasn't had a go at my ghoulies. You get up, have a fiddle to check they're OK and play on. These things happen."

Accusations abound that Spew directs his players to "go the grope" after the Laxatives pre-game whiteboard for last weeks against the Master Bakers had an arrow pointing to the name "Milne" with the words "grab his nuts" next to it. Spew denies the tactic and said the instruction was taken out of context. "We know Milney likes his cashews pre-game so we just wanted to put him off, a bit of by-play." Milne had a disaterous game with the Bakers just missing out on the points.
