Subject: SwanGunners can claim title

SwanGunners CEO and media spokesperson Smiles Byron-Bay today stated that it is the year of the Gunners. And no he wasn't referring to the all conquering English Premier League sister club Arsenal.

Said Byron-Bay "Our two sister clubs of Sydney and Arsenal have shown us the way of recent times and now it is up to ourselves to take the lead and finally take the flag that for many years we have had the potential to walk away with. In the past we have had sides that should have won the title but have failed miserably."

Smiles was of course referring to the examples of success shown by Sydney in the AFL 2003 season and Arsenal in the current EPL season.

Said Smiles, "We recognise that the RFL is a much tougher competition than the AFL or EPL, but those clubs have shown us the way, and we must learn from them to take the 2004 RFL premiership."

In a further dig at the Party Animals, Smiles added that he thought that if they, or anyone else for that matter won the 2004 premiership, it would bring back some credibility to the trophy after last years tragedy. He was of course referring to the Party Animals success in 2003 and how consensus of opinion was that they were so compromised by their relationship with the former commissioner that their success will always be tainted.
