Subject: What's going on with this board and its one review per page thing then? In answer to your question then I haven't heard any Dean Martin (If you drove a car, Grigg, would you drive down the middle of the road? haw haw haw! <---- says Rich who has three Ink Spots CDs) or Cowboy Junkies. Johnny Cash of course sang one of just three worthwhile C & W (That's Cunt & Wanker) songs - Ring of Fire. I love Alanis's first album, but her second (apart from Thank U) was shite, sorry. Do you like Carole King? Tapestry's great! I must admit, even though he's not in the least bit cool, I do have a soft spot for the shouty screaminess of Little Richard - I saw him in a magazine the other day doing an advert for oven-ready sausages. Has he no shame? Shania Twain is okay (Man, I feel like a Woman - a lesbo lovesong? Let's hope so! And I'd give her one!) and James are good, yeah. Meat Loaf has no cred but I like him - Bat Out Of Hell 1 is great... we don't have
In reply to: Griff 's message, "Hey Rich, I got your parcel today, nice one!! Definite highlights were your sketches - I haven't laughed so hard in ages! My stomach actually hurt after watching the Movie Focus one, it was so bloody funny! Top stuff. I've watched half of Shaft but I fell asleep through it, and when I woke up I did this Curse of Frankenstein review, so it's shite cos I'm still half asleep. I did another review this morning, so to say thanks for the top goodies, here's a Frankenstein double!" on 17:17:29 06/27/01 Wed

  • to talk about Bat Out Of Hell 2 though, do we? Anyway, I liked your Curse review (as for I Was A Teenage Frankenstein - post about a review I've read!) I do agree, I think the sequels are quite decent, but the original (which veered from the book in case they got sued by Universal, apparently) has no subtext whatsoever. Must Have A Tommy is the better film, definitely, though Revenge is my favourite, that's a **** for me that one. Glad you said you liked my sketches, I nearly didn't send 'em I was making such a cunt of myself, but what's new? (NT) -- Blathering-On Rich, 18:27:49 06/27/01 Wed
  • "Post about a review I've read"? What are you on about? Anyhoo, I've never heard any Carole King (I think) and as for Little Richard - who cares? I'm not a big fan of Alanis's second album either, but her first one's a corker. Cowboy Junkies are fab - their music's really mellow, twangy, husky stuff. They did the cover of Sweet Jane in Natural Born Killers. One good Johnny Cash song? What about One Piece at a Time and a A Boy Named Sue? He guested on U2's Zooropa album (The last track, The Wanderer). And Dean Martin's a charmer, you naughty man! I've got to admit, I've only got best ofs for Meat L:Oaf, Dean Martin and Johnny Cash though, it's not worth buying all their albums. Blah blah blah, on and on I go... oh yeah, I liked all your classy additions to the vid covers btw! And your piss taking of my '94 hairdo!! (NT) -- Griff, 20:20:14 06/27/01 Wed
