After 2 years of seeing the other kids play and wanting to play Lauren FINALLY got to sign up today! She is so excited I dont' want to tell her she has to wait another 20 days to even go meet her coach and have a first practice...lol

I signed her up for soccer and dance today. Of course, her class leotard is TOTALLY different then any of the ones she has. She has to get the camisole style in pink. she has short sleeve blue and black in both short and long sleeve in the traditional style and she has a black tank style...I guess I'm shopping online for a camie leotard in pink! LOL I needed to get tights anyway. PLUS and maybe Christine can answer this for me...I might need to buy shoes. The list says pink canvas split sole ballet slippers...sigh Do you think it will be huge problem to send her in her leather with leather sole ballets until we are sure she likes this teacher? LOL She loved gymnastics after the first class and we bought her a couple of nice unitards (clearance at danskin but still) and then she decided she didn't like it because of the other kids. I don't know I want to buy new shoes if the ones she has fit perfectly right now and we aren't sure she likes the new teacher.

Now for the teacher...this is a reason to really like Italy...it was $40 for an hour a week at Travis...she had a teacher who had danced and went to dance school in Oklahoma. This teacher is from Copenhagen and danced with a Danish ballet co. She has danced in Switzerland, Sweden and Denmark. She has also taken a class to become certified to teach children (2 years long) where her other teacher was a student teacher at her studio where she learned. You would think the class would cost more right? Someone with a more impressive resume...it's only $25 a month for 2 classes a week. I know it cost more at Travis because she could charge more with so many beginning ballet classes starting $50 and up because of the San Fransisco ballet so close ect. LOTS of fancy studios to choose from if you had the $$$$. But wow what a price difference. I was going to make her choose soccer or dance...for so cheap she can do both! LOL

Poor Emily I'm sure she is going to get really bored fast. I hope she can hang on until we leave here because dance starts at 4 here...sigh!
