As for dance shoes I would go with what you have. If you feel the need to talk to the teacher you can tellher what you told me, that you are going to wait a little why to buy new shoes. I have talked to a lot of dance teachers and they usually give their suggestions so that when you are going out to buy new things you can get what they prefer. Since she is just starting out I really don't see that anyone would have a problem with it. I know that here you can find a lot of dance stuff for little kids at Walmart and Target, maybe the base store carries some stuff- - you might ask.
