Liam brought home a 4 page survey that is "required" of all parents. It doesn't say who wants the info or what it will be used for.

Included are questions about who the child lives with...to the level of how many adults and how many hours a week they work. Then it asks

(shit...the night goes from bad to worse. I put Teiguen to bed over an hour ago...he's still awake. On top of that, they just yelled to me that there's a spider in their room. I went to grab it with tissues, and got it, but it escaped. So, now , the night before Teiguen starts school, he's up at almost 11 pm and will be sleeping with me...meaning I get no sleep. And, I have no vacuum to vacuum under the bed to try to suck it up...and I'm not so sure it wasn't a recluse. Shit!)

about your "level of involvement". Well, of the 9 choices, there are only TWO that don't involve money or time during the work day. It goes on and on asking detailed questions about your relationship with teachers, etc, and why you don't volunteer more. Then they have 2 pages of charts and graphs where they want you to detail how much time you spend working with your kids on homework (One choice is 11 or more hours a week!?!? For Elementary kids????) It also asks you to log the family activiites you do by time.

I refuse to fill it out...and that's what I told them. It's intrusive and they don't need that kind of information to encourage parent involvement.

Oh, and now they want copies of my paid personal taxes???? As if they have a right to know what I own and what it's worth???

This district is stepping WAAAY over the line!!!
