Ryan auditioned for and made the Amarillo Boys Choir. They are pretty good. The concert group (Ryan will be in the prepratory choir for two years at least) has traveled all over including Disney World and Austria! Anyway I checked out costs and stuff of the prepratory group and we decided we could swing it. It's $120 + a $20 uniform fee, but you can make payments and then there is some mandatory fundraising.

Well---- in addition to the $20 for the shirt we have to provide a pair of Khaki's - specified name brand @$29, a navy braided belt $18, and burgandy penny loafers - which I've yet to locate!

The first mandatory fundraiser is to sell $120 worth of ads for the concert programs. I just don't know flusy people with businesses and I SUCK at crap like that.

I keep telling myself it is an INCREDIBLE experience for Ryan and he is so excited. I'm sure it will all work out an the director is a very nice, well rounded, man. He began the audition by talking about baseball with Ryan. He played football, basketball, and baseball in HS and still plays on a recreational league. I liked that because some artsy type tend to think the arts are the ONLY thing to be involved in. I'm just a little worried about the cost and the fundraising. I'm sure we will survive, but YIKES I'm a bit intimadated already.
