Last night I couldn't sleep. Everytime I tried to lay down I would wake up unable to breathe and heard a gurglly, whistle sound. This morning Robert called the doctor and I went in, alone. I left Robert with Jack and the kids. I assumed it would be a sinus or upper respitory infection. (sorry about the bad spelling everywhere)

Anyway, let's just say that after 2 doctor visits and many, many hours at the hospital (I went home and got Robert and Jack and brought them with me) I have a reason why I am not healing.

It looks like the CT scan found fluid of unknown source in my lungs and 2 different labs can't identify the infection so I am on antibiotics. I have no blood clots in my lungs and they thought that was a huge possibility. They did find an enlarged section to my heart. I have been diagnosed with Prenatal/postpartum cardio myopothy. I think that is the correct term. Tomorrow I have an appointment with cardiologist.

How could a day go so very wrong? Because of the meds from the tests I can't try to nurse him or even pump bottles for a day or 2 and by then I will probably be on heart meds and that may be the end of all attemps at nursing. This time I have been so sick and anemic my milk isn't coming in and I can barely force pump a few bottles a day. My anemia is now up to 10 from the 6 right after the birth--that is good at least.

Anyway, I feel like all I ever share is bad news anymore and for that I am very sorry. I am not sure how much I am going to be around for a while. Honestly I have been so thrown by this I don't know what to think or how to feel.

I'll let you guys know if anything else important happens but I wanted to let you guys know where I "was".

Christine
