You do lose out on the flexibility, but if you get a little respect, it would be worth it! As your kids get older, the flexibility is less important. Liam really wouldn't want me attending his parties at this age, I don't think.

It was PITA to have to go through a major fight to attend his field trip, but that was a strange situation.

As long as it doesn't cause any trouble with getting your kids to and from school and daycare, I'd say take the classroom job. Passing all those damned programs on to somebody else would be icing on the cake!
