I realized tonight was the last game of the season and the pizza party about 30 minutes after the game started! Crud, eh? It was so hot that they only played half an hour anyway. We met everyone at the pizza place for dinner.
Then, like and idiot, I went to Barnes and Noble to try to find a book on tape for the kids to listen to if they get tired of movies. They didn't have a thing. That place is useless! How they ever sell a movie is beyond me, too. They have all the movies marked $30! I figure if we need something more we can pick it up along the way.
Sadly, I still have laundry going. I need to vacuum and sweep, too. Luckily, Gerald's house makes me not worry about what he'll think of the clutter here. I have made inroads this week, despite the company. I got most of the surfaces in the livingroom decently cleaned off.
I'm miffed that I can't find the top for one of Teiguen's two matching outfits...the spendy Land's End one. I have been searching almost 2 weeks. Where could it be? I've taken everything out of everyone's dresser drawers and have gone through everyone's closets multiple times. Sigh. Oh, well. I guess we won't worry about impressing anyone on this trip.
I talked to Liam tonight. I have a feeling he may be coming home 25 lbs lighter than when he left. He says they walk EVERYWHERE. Meaning they are doing 6 trips between the college and chess club...plus the trip to the swimming pool. He said he's only gone swimming once. They are actually turned free for 2 hours each day...no adult supervision. He and his buddy wander Main Street. The snack money I sent has been used on a disposable camera, a pair of fuzzy dice (lol!) and a magic kit. Sounds like he's having a grand time! Luckily, it's a small enough town that it's still safe for kids to do that! Anyway, he says they haven't offered peanutbutter or chicken nuggets a single time. They also don't offer cereal for breakfast...but they did have waffles once and another day they had muffins. He said for dinner he just grabs a slice or two of bread and some milk and juice. Talk about a crash diet! I think he's nervous, tho, because he said he hasn't really been hungry anyway. He says he hasn't eaten much of the snacks I sent, even, so he must not be hungry.
Well, I gotta get a move on. I need to get Teiguen in bed. I rented Failure to Launch and would REALLY like to see it...wish me luck!
Talk to you ladies soon!
Beth
