I'm serious! Not just people our age...older people, too. I think it's a personality type. People who are caring, compassionate, and think more of others than themselves tend to have messy homes. I also think they're happier than most people, even when things are going wrong. Interestingly, in my experience they tend to marry neat freaks.

The most unhappy, uptight people I've ever known have had homes that are spotless! I'll also say, I've only had two friends like this...but both my mother and my sister fall into this category. All 4 of them are/were people who were seriously unhappy even when everthing in their lives was going great.

Sorry your men are giving you grief! Tell them that there's an easy solution...if they can find something they can give up, you can afford to have Merry Maids come in once a week, lol!
