Two things.
First, I've never gotten letters granting or denying my kids permission to attend Sycamore. I have, however, as of yesterday, received a bus pass for Liam...meaning he's on the transportation list for Southern. This might just be because he rode the bus for summer school. But, Teiguen hasn't gotten a bus pass, and he rode this summer, too.
I e-mailed the principal and secretary asking them whether Liam was given permission- and telling them I don't need them to check on Teiguen because I'm going to enroll him at Southern next week. We'll see if they answer or not. If I don't get an answer, I'm going to drop Liam at Sycamore on the 16th and let them deal with it.
Second, while I was gone the principal at my school sent out an e-mail with the "retreat" schedule on it. I can't open it as it was sent as a Word attachment. I asked her and four other people to open and copy it and send it to me. None of them have.
Yesterday I got a letter from her with some "updates" and the retreat times. They want us to stay at a hotel room down on the Plaza the night of the 10th. The rooms cost $160. We have to find our own roommates...and can decide how many people to room with. Right. I will be sleeping at home...for free. She made dinner that night nearly mandatory. Well, I don't have babysitting and I'm not going to find it. Those are not people I care to spend my free time with. They don't even talk to me during the regular school year- why would I want to do a sleepover with them???
However, I am bad. ROFL. I e-mailed David and Bobby and asked if they and Jeff need a 4th in their room. I swear, I would do it if they said yes. The boys could camp out on the floor ;)! Actually, I told them we could dye each other's hair and paint each other's nails and stay up real late, etc. Then I let them know I was joking...and told them I've been trying to picture sleep-overs with a bunch of middle aged women. What do they do....wax each other's mustaches and rub cocoa butter on each other's stretch marks, lol! I figured I needed to get the year off on the right foot...giving the guys grief. I haven't gone to check to see if either of them answered me.
On another front, it appears Liam lost both his sunglasses and his sandals on our trip. Guess I'll search for e-mail addys for the Super 8's and ask if they found them. I know he had them when we left camp.
I had a link for camp photos, but it's gone for now. I'll get it for you ladies tomorrow. I'm sure you can't wait to see more photos from me, lol!
