Because he is late we were sent over to run a bio-physical sonogram, my first. It was long and complicated. The tech was fantastic. She has been a tech since 1980 and really knows her stuff and not that this matters much but she was a large lady and her room set up and tables and things were designed with that in mind and I was very comfortable there. She spent a lot of time looking for fluid amounts, blood flow, quality of the placenta, where the cord was, his heartrate and stuff like that. She also remeasured him and his head and his heart and lungs. He is still breathing amniotic fluid and she said that usually stops a day or two before birth so she is guessing it will be another few days. She said he looks way too comfortable and has never seen a baby look more comfortable and ready to stay like this one does! lol lol She also said that he weighs at least 9 pounds already. The fancy new machine (right out of the box about less than a week ago) took all of the calculations and guesses he will be born on August 8th! She thinkis it will be sooner than that. At this point who knows.

I am glad to know that he is alright. I was starting to worry that maybe he had the cord wrapped around his neck and that was the problem. Susie's daughter had that happen. They pulled and pulle dand finally realized that she had a short cord and that it was wrapped around her neck like 3 times and everytime they pulled her she stopped breathing. She was an emergency c-section and had the bruising on her neck for a while after birth.

I will see the midwife on Thursday at 9 but I just remembered that Ian has a dentist appointment on Thursday at 9 to get his spacer put on and hsi cavity filled. I "really" don't want to rechedule the denstist. Robert doesn't want to deal with the dentist alone- he hates dealing with the dentist even when it isn't his appointments. I will probably call the midwife later today and reschedule for tomorrow. I so want to go to the dentist almost 2 weeks ovedue with baby #7...ugh!! If I skip this appointment I am thinking months may go by and then the teeth will move (we have had that happen before) and we will end up paying for another spacer to be made.

Oh...Robert just headed off to the office. I had a horrible night's sleep. Paul crawled into our bed, common as of late. I moved to the lazy boy for a while. I woke Robert up to move him to his bed and not an hour later Ian wet his bed, and he never does that but this is the second time ina row and he crawled into our bed after he changed and cleaned himself up. So back to the chair I went. I was having strong contractions and I was very hot. I covered my neck and stomach in wet washcloths because we can't afford to turn the air down any cooler. RRober got up before 6 ready to go. I barely crawled into bed and dozed off for 15 minutes before Ian and Paul were awake. I guess people who get sleep are actually happy to wake up in the morning.

Robert decides that what I need is to take a long walk around the neighborhood. I told him I wasn't going because I overheat too fast and th e only shoes I can wear are slide on sanles that are not good walking shoes and I trip in them a lot. He tells the little guys to go get dressed and I still say no. So then it was a battle of the wills. He played the mom won't go so you guys won't go card and I told him he better take them for a walk because I wasn't going to listen to them whine and cry all day. He told me that I said I would go and boy did that tick me off. I went downstairs, let the dog out and started laundry. He took them for a long walk and they had a good time. They looked in houses theat were being built and poor Paul cut his hand open on some sort of decorative razor grass a the end of the block. Poor kid.

They came home and he set them up with breakfast and I fell asleep in the chair downstairs while they watched Winnie the Pooh. They normally won't watch it but really liked it this morning. The older 3 loved it to death and I really miss it sometimes. Not 20 minutes later Robert wakes me up and wants to know if he can go to the office. Everytime I fall asleep he wakes me up and I am really tired of it. Then the magic spell is broken and Ian and Paul are complaining and I have to get up again.

Robbie gets up to help and Robert takes off to the office. I had to quickly write out 2 thank-you notes that he needed to take to the office and I started another load of laundry and came upstairs. I got 2 m3ssages from people on the lots of kids board that are worried about a lady there. SH had been sick and no-one had talked to her. last week someone talked to her for a few minutes but another week has gone by. I called her and got voicemail, none of us have ever gotten her voice mail before. I actually know herin real life. About 4-5 of us meet up a few times a year and this is very out of character for her so now all of us are very worried.

It is only 10:30 and yet it feels like 2 days have gone by already. I really need a nap but I am pretty sure that isn't going to happen anytime soon. And my mother keeps calling. She is driving me crazy. I have been e-mailing back and forth to my aunt and evertime I update my aunt my stupid mother calls like clockwork to tell met that she hasn't heard from me and NEEDS to know what is going on. Why exactly? If her car can make it to Russell's hosue 15 miles away I am pretty sure it can make it to mine. That woman loves her drama. So Robert keeps telling me to call my mom and I just started telling him "Ditto". I tell him to call his mom first and then I will call mine! Lol lol It really is pretty funny. I don't look forward to my mother dragging her stupid but out here to see my new baby. I am not so mad at her as I just don't want to deal with all of her drama anymore. Whenever my mother and brothers show up they make everything about them and how awful their lives are and how sad they are and how broke they are and I am fed up with it. I want to be left alone.

I think that about catches you guys up so I think I'll head off and do something useful...as soon as I figure out what that is I'll let you guys know!

Christine
