Maureen lives just a mile or so from the hotel and she said the boys can hang out there.

I'm not the only parent by far...and oddly enough, my kids are about the oldest! We had 3 teachers have babies this spring and 2 have them last spring. I can't imagine leaving an infant or toddler overnight. I'm sorry, even if you're married, where are your priorities???

Mind you, these are the type who go off and leave baby with their mom for the weekend so they can go to a PJ Scrapbooking party at a hotel. Their priorities are just WAY different than mine!

What is worse is having two late nights so close together...Thursday then Monday. And, we'll have a PTA meeting AND Back-to-School night this month, too!!! 4 late nights in August alone!

Wanna hear the funny??? Guess who ISN'T staying over??? The older teachers. The ones whose kids are grown and who don't really have an excuse. They all banded together and said no. I'm stuck in the middle...I don't fit into their group, but I'm not in the teacher playgroup, either!

I'm being bad...not going in this week to set up my room! I know they'll be freaking out. I've just had enough already! I'll get things set up...eventually, lol!
I'm being bad and not even stresing over it. I think this is a sign that I need to get out of this district. This is how I got when I taught in KCMO...you get to the point where you realize the crap is never going to stop.

The good (?) news is that the gal who hired me is going to be our assistant principal this year. I am PRAYING that she does evaluations! I know she'll give me flying colors. She had personal issues that I kind of didn't appreciate (like she'd send us off color jokes...she worked in a bar after school and picked them up there) but as a principal, she was great.

I swear...what I hate about this babysitting issue the worst is that I call in all my favors for school crap. If I ever had a personal crisis I don't know where I'd turn...I'm sure people are tired of me asking for help all the time as it is!
