In reply to: Beth 's message, "Well, they lucked out BIG TIME!!!" on 19:17:52 08/02/06 Wed

is dinner. I hear that we're all going out to dinner on the Plaza that night. Um...to make everyone uncomfortable I might just order a soda and tell them I can't afford it.

I can, but it irks me to be asked to do these kind of things.

I think this is all envy. Around here we here a lot about places like Hallmark and Sprint that have these major retreats for their workers. Well, they own ranches in the country. The workers stay for free. Meals are provided. That's a whole different situation.

Lori, if you think I'm direct, you should see Teiguen, lol! When we were in Cripple Creek it took the waitress about 40 minutes to bring us chicken fingers and a meatball sandwich. When she brought them he said, "It's about time! What took you so long?" She about fell over, lol! I think the world needs to watch out for him!

Anyway, I got him enrolled for school. Guess what, they changed ALL the forms since May, so I had to fill everything out AGAIN. Same info, different format. You won't believe what our district has added. A form where you state that your child doesn't have a criminal record. It has to be notorized. Another mom asked the secretary how many first graders in the district have been convicted of crimes, lol! You have to say, that doesn't look very good in elementary school.

I talked to the old secretary and told her which class I want Teiguen in...we'll see if he gets in it. She was amazed that he was denied permission to go to Sycamore. Yeah, me too.

Maribeth told me yesterday that, unbeknownst to me, Sondra went to Ann and told her that she should allow Teiguen to attend Sycamore. Ann still refused. I guess things all work out. If not for the best, at least for the less bad.

Say, what did you ever decide about 2nd grade??? Will this be your last year in music?

I need to go clean. Things are getting bleak around here!
