after working from home for the last 2 days (days where I told him to go into the office, I should add) Robert has decided to pack it up and head in this morning. Actually I am glad to get rid of him for a while because he is driving me crazy asking questions and it isn't for his benefit it is to give updates to all the people he has told!

On Monday I asked him not to tell the people at work until I knew something was going on a little further along than this. We did get downtown and then return home because they were 4 minutes apart but I still wanted to wait and see. I just wanted him to tell people I got sick or something. But he told them anyway.

I knew this time was going to be different and uncharted territory for me because I have never been left alone to labor in the past they have always induced me with pitocin and really high doses by the way. This has been a slower and more gradual labor. It is very different from the nonstop I can't breathe stuff at the hospital. Things are definately happening but how many different ways can I say "things are moving along" to satisfy people calling and e-mailing every few minutes?

The kicker was this morning he asked how I felt and I said fine and he said I guess it is going to take weeks at this rate and people at work are starting to get worried! Yes, I snapped a little because it really bugged me. Maybe the baby won't come out until October- - I really don't care anymore. Yesterday my aunt called to tell me she sent a gift and we had a fun talk and then Robert said I guess everything stopped because you were having too much fun with her on the phone! UGH!!! I didn't tell her and he wanted to know why and I told him that I didn't need anyone else calling every hour or half hour to see what is going on!

Sorry to sound cranky but I am hoping at least some of you guys will understand where I am coming from because honestly Robert doesn't get it at all. I am really not that cranky I am just tired of being the topic of conversation for people I barely know that he works with and I am tired of giving updates!

Today sounds like the perfect day to have a baby because he will be about an hour away and my midwife will be about 2 hours away later this afternoon. Sounds like perfect timing for one of my kids to arrive because they all have sick sense of humors like that!!!

I'll chack back in if something happens,
Christine
