Okay, the front page of our paper today had an article about how Arkansas is enacting a law that would allow women to be jailed if they SMOKED while pregnant.
Who the hell is going to build THAT jail? And care for all the kids left behind, motherless, for 9 months??? And, are we going to pay for obstetrical care? So, if I'm a poor woman with no insurance, I can go to Arkansas, light one up, and get 9 months free room, board, and medical care????
It said that the pro-abortion groups think this is an attack on them. Bullcrap! I see this as a knee-jerk reaction to pro-life groups. "Oh, you want that thing to be considered to be a baby? Well, lets see how you like THIS!!!" I think this is the pro-abortion groups way of trying to get pro-life people to back off their demands!
Sad and sick. Our country is becoming unrecognizable. It's like in Once and Future King...everything not forbidden is mandatory.
Next...why do men seem to feel the need to dedicate a song to me??? They don't want anything else, and only succeed in ruining a perfectly good piece of music by doing so, lol! Kevin dedicated "Let My Love Open the Door" to me. It's being used in a current movie promotion. Every time I hear the damned thing I can see him standing outside the doghouse at the bottom of the Gorge, giving me his best serious and sincere face, lol! With Scot it was the theme song from the movie Separate Lives. Obviously, that came at the time when I'd broken it off with him. I hear it on the oldies station from time-to-time.
So, why am I sharing this??? There's a song out right now by a country singer...his name is Rodney Atkins. Well, early last month a certain person at work e-mailed me telling me to hang in there concerning family issues...and suggested that as my theme song of sorts. He quoted the chorus of it. Well, wouldn't you know, it plays ever 2 minutes these days. The album is going to be released next week...so I suppose that explains it all. Curses on him for ruining my vacation, lol!
Lastly, tomorrow is big trash day and I've been minimally moved. I have four big sacks and two boxes out there...and will have another bag by the end of the day. I should get my fanny out in the garage and go crazy, but my face is finally healing up and I hate to risk setting it off with a cloud of dust!
Speaking of my face...I'm on antibiotics. This is day 3. Things started turning around last week when I began using my spendy eye cream on the crap on my face. It was SO bad. I had it under the right side of my nose, on the left side from the side of my nose almost to my chin, a little at the right corner of my mouth, a spot under my left eye, and a small spot on my left eyelid! YIKES! This is by far the worst it's ever been! Today I have a few red splotchy spots, and it still itches like crazy, but the peeling like mad has stopped and the little watery zit thingies have quit.
Which brings me to a question...do any of you use Bare Minerals and are they really worth $30 a month? I consider the $10 a month I spend on foundation a huge splurge! If my skin weren't so bad I'd buy the $3 stuff! I keep seeing commercials for Minerals, but to be honest, it seems unhealthy to me. You use that same brush over and over and over...so any bacteria on your skin would be growing like crazy in those little pots of mineral. I buy foundation that comes with a pump so I don't introduce bacteria into it by touching my finger to the opening. I know that sounds nutty, but as bad as my skin is, I'll try anything!
