香港有釵h人對養寵物只有三分鐘熱度，養了一陣子的貓貓狗狗以至兔仔倉鼠後，就厭倦了、後悔了，於是做出遺棄寵物的狠心行為。
也酗j家想像中的「遺棄寵物」，就是把寵物帶到街上或公園，然後將之綁在一角（貓狗）或置於紙箱中（小動物），棄之而去……可是，事實上不一定是如此。
某天我造訪一家兔仔店，它除了專售兔仔用品外，更提供寄養服務；不少兔主有事離港，家中愛兔無人照顧時，就會把兔仔寄養在此，故稱得上是家「兔仔酒店」。可能時近歲晚，外遊者眾，只見店中已住滿了十數隻大兔小兔，店主謂「宿位」已客滿了！
當我正默默參觀之際，忽聽一店員驚呼道：「弊！隻YY個主人明明話星期一會打電話來，安排朋友來接YY走的，點解到今日（星期六）都未打來？」說罷，她馬上嘗試致電YY主人手機，但得到的結果是：該手機號碼已停止服務！
店主心知不妙，可能又遇上另一個故意玩失蹤的棄兔之人了！但也只好無奈地說：「等多兩日睇下點啦！」
幾天後，YY的主人會出現嗎？我不得而知。然而，的確有很多人，把寵物送去店子洗澡、美容或寄養後，就索性失蹤，這才是最「流行」的遺棄寵物手法！
