甲：「今年的香港馬拉松，參加人數雖破晒紀錄，但明年想再破紀錄，相信就很難了。」
乙：「對啊。以往的參賽者中，不少人是抱着玩玩的心態，甚至把馬拉松視為一個大派對，所以才會招聚了四萬人。唯當中有多少是真正有經驗的跑者？又有多少人體格適合長跑？今年發生的事件，絕對是敲響警鐘了！」
甲：「唉，大家歡歡喜喜的起跑，總希望自己能跑得到終點。但居然有人為了跑到終點，而付上了性命……這真是令人歎息不已。」
乙：「我想，最痛苦的必然是其家人吧！」
甲：「嗯，所以我認為，明年的馬拉松參賽人數必然會減少，正是因為家人的因素。大家在報名前，未必過得了家人那一關呢！」
乙：「咁又係喎！阿仔阿女如果俾阿媽知道夆悒[馬拉松，阿媽好有機會大加反對，話『上年死過人㗎，你唔識跑咪學人跑啦』，諸如此類。」
甲：「同樣地，老婆也不會放心讓老公去跑，子女也不放心讓父母去跑。如此一來，我估計參加者至少會減少三成！」
乙：「那絕對不是壞事。人家紐約馬拉松都只得三萬五千人參加，全是有經驗或通過體檢的跑者；香港馬拉松又何必拉雜成軍，夾硬谷大個數呢？」
