手機用了還未到一年（約十個月），已開始不靈光。其按鍵的反應愈來愈遲鈍，間中又出現接收不順、通話斷線情況。朋友開始抱怨：「成日都打唔到俾你，快啲換機啦！」
我都想。不過想想下，問題就來了。首先，用慣了某大牌子，就不想再轉用其他牌子，最主要原因是：若使用同一牌子的新機，那麼現時儲存在手機中的電話簿，可以很容易地直接過渡到新機中，包冇撞板；反之，若轉用其他牌子，則未必可以順利過渡，最壞情況是要把幾百個電話，用手指逐一重新輸入，好大工程！
於是乎，走上去慣用牌子的網頁，看看有乜新型號啦！嘩，不得了，幾個月沒有上來看，居然多了咁多新機，有成十二部之多……咦？咪住，乜全部都只係「即將推出」？即係未出？
仔細地看多一次，逐一研究，卻發現一件有趣的事：該十二部「即將推出」的新手機，當中有三、四部，已經被放在網上好幾個月，有的由去年十月左右已經開始是「即將推出」了！
到底「即將」這個詞，代表的是下星期、下個月、下一季，抑或下年呢？真係耐人尋味。我望着屏幕，忽覺那十二部手機好像變成了十二支紅蘿蔔……等呀等……追呀追……
