本文見街之日，是年廿七；年廿八是星期天，本版休息，只好在年廿七談談「洗邋遢」之事。
其實傳統的「年廿八，洗邋遢」，講的正是趁年尾大掃除，搞好家居、個人衛生。以往農業社會，農家一年由頭到尾都日出而作日入而息，根本不會有時間、精力、心思去每天執屋、打掃，於是就趁過年之前，全家總動員，來一次大掃除。當然，一年只一次，衛生程度就自然不及現代社會的家居了，但不失為追求衛生的一種好習俗。
說到搞衛生，小弟心中有火。因為近月來街上所見，港人的衛生意識又再大大下降，完全把「沙士」帶給我們的慘痛教訓拋諸腦後！近日天氣時涼時暖，染上流感的人滿街都是，然釵h人在咳嗽噴嚏之時，竟又故態復萌，張口就「發」！紙巾？不用。口罩？欠奉。
剛好在一宴會上遇到舊同學 Dr. Lam，他乃港大動物學系的教授。講起這個衛生現象，他苦笑說「沙士」並不算可怕，最可怕的是禽流感；若然禽流感病毒真的變種到可以人傳人，則死亡人數一定是「沙士」的數倍！
在另一次疫症爆發前，大家先注意一下衛生，好麼？
