正式宣布，多得日本人的帶挈，我們自此又多了一個永遠的錯別字。
所講的，當然是《鋼之鍊金術師》那個「鍊」字。早在好幾個月前，同文康子兄已在他的專欄中大聲疾呼，說明「煉金術」應用「煉」字方為正寫。當時，《鋼鍊》漫畫中文版剛在港推出，然而出版社不理三七廿一沿用日文的「鍊」字，引起了康子兄的注意及回響。
這些月來，《鋼鍊》熱潮在港愈來愈熱，繼漫畫版熱賣後，電視台開始播映動畫版，動畫版 DVD 亦開始陸續推出發售。可是，在各種媒體出現的名字，仍然是《鋼之鍊金術師》，似乎完全沒有任何人有意思要撥亂反正，將之改正為《鋼之煉金術師》。
執筆之時，又見有雜誌賣廣告說：「《鋼之鍊金術師》全彩色動畫特集，三月三十日鍊成！」唉，就算作品名因為版權問題，或要尊重日本原作者的意思，而用番個「鍊」字，那麼「鍊成」一詞，是否可以改正為「煉成」，以正視聽呢？
算了吧，此篇文字寫了出來也是沒有用的。編輯中文詞典的朋友們，記住在「煉金術」一詞上，加入一句「又稱『鍊金術』」吧！
