我由兒童時代開始，就知道四月四日是「兒童節」。但一向以來，兒童節時兒童們既沒有假放，又不像「父親節」、「母親節」般一定是星期日，因此會專登慶祝兒童節的人實在不多。
事實上，兒童節的正式日子也因地而異。原來六月一日乃「國際兒童節」，中國自一九四九年建國起，就訂立以「國際兒童節」為「中國兒童節」，故內地慶祝兒童節是在六月一日。在這之前，國民黨政府在一九三一年起卻一直以四月四日為兒童節，因而台灣那邊至今仍沿用四月四日。
那麼，到底為何香港是以四月四日為兒童節呢？不可能是跟台灣吧！難道是跟英國？可是，根據網上的資料，英國的兒童節是在七月十四日。這，真是個謎了！
另外，資料還顯示：泰國兒童節在每年一月的第二個星期六；日本兒童節分開男女兩天，男孩是五月五日，女孩是三月三日；韓國兒童節是五月五日，古巴是七月十六日，印尼是七月二十三日，巴西是八月十五日，新加坡是十月一日，土耳其是十月二十九日，印度是十一月十四日……
很亂，記不下吧！總之，可謂一年到尾都有兒童節呢！
