坊間又推出另一份「免費報紙」。說是「又」，因為「免費報紙」已不是甚麼新鮮事，而且極有可能是大勢所趨！
其實，用紙張印刷的報紙，遲早還是會被淘汰的；只要「電子紙張」（或稱「電紙」，乃一種厚度極小且可屈摺的顯示器）成為普及產品，報紙就一定會「電紙」化！到時，你只須買一次「電紙報」，就不必天天買，只要你隨時在「電紙報」上按一個鈕，最新的新聞內容就會即時下載到你手上，甚至可以做到有聲有畫！
在「電紙報」真正出現前，報紙仍然有生存空間。之不過，「電紙報」的雛型，已經在網上、手機等等媒體中出現，人們對傳統報紙的依賴性，也漸漸減低。於是乎，「免費報紙」就有得做了！
何解？現在一份大報售六元，然你買回來的數十張紙、百多版，有三份二以上都是你不會細看的內容、廣告，十分浪費紙張！而「免費報紙」在免費之餘，其頁數和用紙量均較少，比較附合現今都市人的訴求；大家但求看到「頭條」和重點新聞就足夠，又何必花錢去買一大份報紙？免費的已夠看了。
養狗人士嘛，卻另當別論了。
